Oil painting on canvas of the Virgin of Guadalupe, attributed to Miguel Cabrera, a prominent Baroque painter from New Spain in the 18th century. The work features a symmetrical composition and subtle drawing, characteristics of Cabrera's refined style. The image follows the 'true' model of the original tilma, depicting the Virgin with hands in prayer, surrounded by a mandorla of solar rays. She stands on a crescent moon, supported by an angel with polychrome wings. At the base of the canvas is the inscription in Latin 'Non fecit taliter omni nationi', a reference to Psalm 147. The painting is an example of Baroque influence in New Spanish religious iconography.
