Pencil drawing of Maximilien Luce, created by Aristide Delannoy. Signed in the lower left corner: A. Delannoy, with a collection stamp in the lower right corner. This drawing served as the cover of Les Hommes du Jour, number 60, published in Paris on March 13, 1909. Luce is depicted in profile, focused on his work, with a style that suggests impressionistic brushstrokes. The work comes from the collection of Edouard Bouin and was auctioned at Tajan, Paris, on May 19, 2009.
