Description

Oil on canvas by Manolo Álvarez Aristegui, representing Spanish surrealism of the mid-20th century. The work features Dalinian iconography with organic forms that appear to melt, including a clock symbolizing the passage of time. Cosmic symbolism is manifested in spheres suggesting planets floating in a nebulous sky. The duality of life and death is expressed through vibrant colors and desolate structures. Perspective is achieved with a low horizon line and a depth that evokes mystery.
