Description

Bronze sculpture of a runner, a copy of a work from the 1st century BC. Originating from the 'Villa dei Papiri' in Herculaneum. The piece features detailed finishing and is set on a marble base. This object is a representation of one of the two sculptures from the famous collection of the villa, known for its library of ancient scrolls. Currently, the original sculptures are in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
