Description

Oil on canvas by Jules Coignet, titled 'Der Nemisee in den Albaner Bergen'. The work measures 38 x 46 cm and is signed in the lower left corner. The Nemisee is a crater lake in the volcanic complex of Vulcano Laziale, a recurring theme in classicist and romantic landscape painting. The painting was exhibited in the 'Corot' exhibition at the Daubigny Museum in 2019.
