Rydström – Flanierende Damen

At the beginning of her training, Rydström attended various art schools in Stockholm from 1908 to 1913. In 1914, she went to Paris to continue her studies at the Académie La Palette with Henri Le Fauconnier and André Dunoyer de Segonzac. In 1934, she took courses with Othon Friesz at the Académie Scandinave in Paris. In 1915, she exhibited with Gabriele Münter at the Gummesons konsthall in Stockholm. In 1952, her detailed biography of Münter was published.

Of course, the two "Flanierende Damen" could simply be any women, very likely so. Nevertheless, I like the thought that the stylish and colorful friends wearing berets could represent two modern artists like Rydström and Münter.
