Sculpture of a scholar in biscuit porcelain, inspired by the model of Bertel Thorvaldsen. Made by Bing & Gröndahl in Denmark in the 19th century. The figure measures 20 x 9 x 15.5 cm and features the smooth, white finish characteristic of biscuit porcelain. It is marked on the bottom. This piece is a reproduction of Thorvaldsen's plaster model from 1821/22.
