Furniture made before 1800: Castilian walnut tables with turned or lyre-shaped legs, a friar’s table, Andalusian and Castilian pine chests, a Castilian writing desk with wrought-iron scrolls, walnut and leather friar’s armchairs, a Spanish display cabinet, Carlos IV and French commodes, Parisian corner cabinets with marble tops, an Italian cupboard from around 1750, a Florentine-style console and a painted Saxon Rococo table. These pieces have seen centuries of use: repairs, replaced fittings and wear are common, and the dealer can describe them when you enquire. Each piece is listed by a dealer who sets the price and answers questions from the listing, which also shows an estimated shipping cost. Pieces more than a hundred years old need an export permit to leave Spain.
